Developing an IT solution for a business process involves decisions regarding IT resources (Web servers, database servers), design of screenflows, control flows, collaborations etc. We discuss the role and requirements of simulation in the design of IT solutions for business processes. We also demonstrate these concepts using a stylized Opportunity Management Process and present simulation results.
