Advanced Web Session Provider for Suspensible e-Services

Long running transactions and interaction intensive applications are quite common today on the Internet. The services offered by these applications are often challenged with the capability of user mobility and interruptability. It is users' natural requirement to conduct their business from different clients at different locations in one transaction. Advanced Web Session Provider takes advantage of session management to facilitate service developers to meet such requirements. It extends the traditional session Management so that sessions can be restored and re-identified for user after services are suspended intentionally. It is not tied to any profiling facilities so that different privacy policy can be used when resuming and transferring sessions. The server-based session migration brings the general mechanism to sustain the above features in service development.
