Synchronization in Arrays of Coupled Chaotic Circuits and Systems: Theory and Applications

This paper studies synchronization phenomena in arrays of coupled chaotic circuits and oscillators. We show how synchronization is related to asymptotical stability of circuits and systems. We study synchronization by looking at the underlying coupling topology from a graph-theoretical viewpoint. Both static and dynamic coupling topologies are considered. Extensions to discrete-time systems are discussed. Two main approaches to studying synchronization in chaos are considered: the Lyapunov function approach and the Lyapunov exponents approach. Finally an application to synchronized circuits to graph coloring is presented.
