A decision support system for winner determination in multi-objective combinatorial auctions

Deciding the winners in a combinatorial auction with multiple objectives is a notoriously hard decision problem. A support system, which would assist the auctioneer in making such complex decisions, is a highly desirable tool in such scenarios. This work addresses the design of such a tool. Using the decision support system the auctioneer can set preference on the various objectives and evaluate the multiple winner sets computed by the system to determine the winner set for an auction. For computing multiple winner sets the system uses an algorithm based on the Metropolis algorithm.
