An Annotation Editor for Nonvisual Web Access

Most Web page authors do not consider that their pages might be rendered by nonvisual devices such as voice browsers. However, it is possible to provide accessible Web pages for blind users by transcoding Web pages. A proxy server between a Web server and a Web browser can modify Web pages by using annotations. Since authoring annotations is a time-consuming task, a good authoring tool is required. This paper describes an annotation editor that eases annotation authoring for nonvisual Web access.
