jVerbs: RDMA support for Java

We present jVerbs, an API and library offering full RDMA semantics in Java. jVerbs achieves bare-metal latencies on the order of single-digit microseconds for reading small byte buffers from a remote host's memory. In the paper, we discuss the design and implementation of jVerbs and demonstrate its advantages with several applications.
