Overview of Component Services for Knowledge Integration in UIMA (a.k.a. SUKI)

This white paper describes ongoing research work in the Semantic Analysis and Integration department at IBM Watson Research Center related to bridging unstructured information analysis with formal knowledge representations. It proposes a high-level architecture for using UIMA-based analytics and various Knowledge Integration (KI) components. The development of the KI components and related methodologies is led by Chris Welty and Bill Murdock and in part funded by ARDA’s NIMD program.
