Overdrive reduces response time between gray levels of a TFT-LCD to a single refresh duration. Popular charge-compensational driving is not sufficient for TN-mode. With simulation, we found that problems in overdrive including overshoot are caused by the delay of brightness change from capacitance change. An appropriate overdriving circuit is proposed.
