A Modified Dempster's Rule of Combination for Weighted Sources of Evidence

Abstract - We propose a modification of the Dempster's rule of combination, which allows the weighted combination of possibly conflicting beliefs within the Dempster-Shafer framework. We then establish some of the properties of the modified rule of combination in theory and support the theoretically obtained properties with empirical results.
