Mobile Devices Meet Customer Loyalty First Of A Kind (FOAK) Project Summary

IBM Research recently completed a First-Of-A-Kind (FOAK) engagement and pilot program with a major grocery retailer that integrates mobile device usage with the retailer's loyalty program. This project, entitled "Mobiloyalty", enables loyalty program customers to use their mobile devices to receive in-store promotions when they visit a retail store, with discounts applied automatically at the point of sale. Mobiloyalty builds upon a base technology, called Celadon, which integrates mobile devices with services and information offered in public spaces.
