Image Scaling at Rational Ratios for High-Resolution LCD Monitors

We propose a new scaling technology, called "Expansion Scaling with Complementary Outlining on Rule-based Trace (ESCORT)," which expands the digital video image at rational ratios. ESCORT has been developed with targeting the computer screen images and gives superior legibility at the expansion ratios less than two whose ratios are required in high-resolution LCDs.
