Passwords are a popular means of access control to internet services. Unfortunately, during the last few years there has been a proliferation of services that any single individual subscribes to. As confirmed by our survey, users are beginning to rely on assistive methodologies to help them remember their passwords. We argue that a wearable computer with wireless connectivity, processing, input, and display capabilities is well-suited to hold the user’s password vault. We describe the design and implementation of such a vault on the WatchPad computer prototype.
