Image Quality Issues For High-Resolution TFTLCDs

Image quality issues for high-resolution TFTLCDs are discussed. For text, very high resolution is needed. For color images, the intrinsic color quality of TFTSCDs has the potential to exceed CRTs. As the spatial resolution of TFTLCDs increases, the number of gray levels can be reduced without degrading image quality. This will reduce the bandwidth required to drive these displays.
